Hyper Mega Tech reached out to Design by Datum to design the Super Pocket due to our previous experience in handheld video game console design.
The console was to be held in a vertical manner, be ergonomic and utilise a colourful and eye catching aesthetic to emphasize the engaging playful nature of the product.
We took the design from initial concept, through several rounds of iterative development testing out the ergonomics, scale and button placement of the product using 3D prints and rapid prototyped parts.
Design by Datum’s expertise in electronics enclosure design allowed us to work alongside Hyper Mega Tech’s electronics engineers to drive optimised component layout and produce production ready CAD for injection molding.
