The console design needed to work with an existing cartridge set, be ergonomic and utilise a colourful and eye catching aesthetic to emphasise the engaging playful nature of the product.
Two versions were needed a Capcom and Taito edition.
Design and Development
We took the design from initial concept, through several rounds of iterative development testing out the ergonomics, scale and button placement of the product using 3D prints and rapid prototyped parts. Design by Datum’s expertise in electronics enclosure design allowed us to work alongside Hyper Mega Tech’s electronics engineers to drive optimised component layout and produce production ready CAD for injection molding.
