Working alongside ION’s design team and RE ZRO’s engineers we designed an innovative, market defining product which won a Design and Innovation Award.
The ION Arcon Knee Pad project’s goals were to design a L2 CE certified Chest and Back Protector. The product needed to provide exceptional protection, comfort and ventilation while utilising RE ZRO’s biodegradable impact protection material.
We took the design from initial concept, through several rounds of iterative development testing out the fit, feel and function of the product using 3D prints and rapid prototyped parts.
Design by Datum’s expertise in high performance, ergonomic part design coupled perfectly with ION’s vast knowledge of what riders want and need resulting in a production ready design users love to wear.
