Blotch is Start-Up who have worked with Design By Datum to take an idea from concept to a production ready design and fund their route to market through a successful crowdfunding campaign.
The founders of BLOTCH knew they had spotted a gap in the market for a fully customisable E-Ink display to be used and integrated into the home. With expertise in Software Engineering they came to Design By Datum to build the mechanical package required to make this product market ready.
We took the design from initial concept, through several rounds of iterative development testing out the fit, aesthetics and function of the product using 3D prints and sourced electronics.
Design by Datum’s expertise in consumer goods and electronic enclosure design allowed us to create a product optimised for manufacture and the end user.
